WELCOME TO SKIING IN EUROPE!
OUR LA TANIA CATERED CHALETS:
THE PERFECT PLACE TO EXPLORE SKIING IN THE THREE VALLEYS, THE WORLD’S LARGEST SKI AREA

Welcome to La Tania Catered Chalets

Skiing in Europe is a completely different experience to what you’re used to in North America.

Most ski areas are an interconnected network of villages giving access to hundreds of kilometres of varied skiing in breathtaking scenery with unforgettable views. Take a break at one of the picturesque mountain restaurants and enjoy delightful local Savoie cuisine (such as Tartiflette, one of our favourites). And don’t forget the ‘Aprés’ for which European skiing is so famous. In Europe, it’s as much part of your holiday as the actual skiing! Party by the piste, a quiet drink, or relax and unwind in a spa, it’s up to you. There’s no way to après!

The Three Valleys is typical of European ski holiday perfection. It’s the largest ski area in the world with more than 600km of ski runs and a vast off-piste (backcountry) area accessed via a super sophisticated lift infrastructure and incorporating the world-famous resorts of Courchevel, Méribel and Val Thorens. Snow quality in the Three Valleys is generally incredibly good. Our four relaxed and friendly chalets in La Tania, nestling in the Courchevel Valley, are a couple of minutes’ walk to the piste. A short ski down to the gondola and you’re skiing in the vast Three Valleys in minutes.

We’re a family run business, so not only are we there to guide you through your booking and advise about skiing in the Three Valleys, we’ll be there with you in La Tania as well – Jonty, Melinda and Ted are all chalet hosts. This means that the people who talk to you when you contact us are also the people who look after you in our La Tania catered chalets.

We love La Tania!

It’s the best kept secret of the 3 Valleys! At 1400m, La Tania (LT to its friends)  is a unique and friendly resort, sheltered by a spruce forest, nestling between Courchevel and Meribel, with quick access via the Tania gondola to (arguably) the largest ski area in the world.

You can ski back into the village using one of three great pistes: Plan Fontaine, a gentle green, perfect for beginners, which winds down through the woods, Folyères, an exciting blue, which is usually everyone’s friend, but in some conditions can be a bit grumpy and Moretta Blanche, which along with Lanches and Bouc Blanc, is a superb long run from ‘the top’ (Col de la Loze) and worthy of its red status.

Our four La Tania catered chalets, Chalet Ava, Chalet Amber, Chalet Isla and Chalet Jacqueline are all very close to each other and are a two-minute flat walk to the piste.
