Snowbound Transfers is the oldest transfer company based locally out of La Tania. Hence it is true to say that we have weathered many storms over the last 25 years.
Like many small businesses around the globe recent times have been challenging to say the least, but we are thrilled to have survived and we are looking forward to greeting our happy smiley clients this winter season.
Life in the Alps is resuming it’s former glory with the ski lifts as well as the borders planning to open up without restrictions and it’s business as usual. Phew!
The history of Snowbound began when owner/driver Phil first discovered La Tania in 1995 on a ski trip. Like most guests he fell so in love with our little paradise that he returned as many times as he possibly could using up all his holiday time (plus maybe an odd sick day!)
Finally he decided to take the plunge and commit to a whole season. La Tania’s first ever ski bum was born! Feel free to ask him about his time cleaning the Ski Lodge toilets 😉
By trade Phil was a senior mechanic for the Royal Mail but the Alps is where his heart belonged and he decided to invest in staying long term. He bought his first 16 sitter van and the rest is history.
Today Phil and wife Roxanne are permanents along with their 2 teenagers. As local residents they manage the transfer business very effectively and “know” their stuff! The drivers are vetted, trained and the vans are thoroughly checked as well as ready to roll in winter conditions.
